Sarge’s Salute

Recognizing The Distinguished Veterans In Our Community

Do you know a veteran who deserves a salute?

This Month We Salute:

David Mikula

Military Branch:

Army

More About David:

Veteran Mikula’s service to our country is remarkable. SFC David Mikula retired in 2013, from the US Army after 16 years. An Airborne Infantryman, he spent 13 years in the 82nd Airborne Division. He served 5 combat tours, including Kosovo, Iraq twice, and Afghanistan twice. He was awarded two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman Badge. I nominate Veteran Mikula for being the most resilient person I’ve ever known, that despite the impactful experiences he endured during his deployments, he brings the kindest, most caring and compassionate light this world has ever seen and needs more of.

Do you know a veteran who deserves a salute?

Each month G.I. Plumbing features a veteran, whom friends or family nominate, to salute their exemplary service both to the armed forces and to their community.

“A veteran is someone who at one point wrote a blank check made payable to ‘The United States of America’ for an amount of up to and including their life”

To thank them for their service to excellence, we will spotlight the saluted veteran with an article on our website. They will also receive a special gift as a token of our gratitude.
